Traversing back to memory lane final year 2002
The year that began with the 2002 new year party plan.
It was the impromptu plan and it was not limited particular branch I mean EC/Auto/Mech/CS..we were a bunch of reserved yet udaal gang (Controlled freaks and at times can be uncontrollable as well).
The plan started with limited folks and it extended to at least 30 folks or so.
We were a mix of teetotalers, first-timers and so-called experts who had an experience of drinking half glass and proud of not getting the kick.
As usual, this planning started by these so-called experts [half glass beer knock outters]. As we all from reserved families and drinking is considered as bad, so having in a local guy's house is impossible so we had to find an independent house with a terrace and finally, we zeroed in one of the friend's rented house close to the college. Once we finalized the house next was contribution it simply based on capacity each one has to contribute. As usual, the half glasser went for 2 and first-timers went for booch(several teaspoons).
Frankly speaking, we all never explored what's going to happen after that.
with all the contribution we got 2 crates 660 ml beers from our nearest bar to college that time Kanishka I believe. As it was new year time and we didn't get what we intended or wanted. some of the brands we did hear for the first time and also that was the last time.
and the food was arranged with the local cook. we arranged everything with the speaker and music player on the terrace. Party started we all started having fun and dance ..the half glassers first peg was the smell itself.
and suddenly we all decided that we should have a campfire and we didn't have woods to fire but we had the experience of stealing for holi but needed to find the place to steal from. Like the previous day, we had a small photo session in our college and we happen to see construction woods. and now need to find the experienced holi stealers I mean they should fit daredevil and should know how to jump the wall. I think 4 of us went there at night around 11 PM and got enough woods to the light campfire.
After that adventure with all the nagin dance and Kaikal Jackson dance. I mean you can't imagine that now if you tell that person you did this kind of dance 18 years back .
many of our experts including me got out earlier than expected it may due to over-enthusiasm or local beer brand quality impact. but it was overall a successful event and after that our friendship got stronger
